Bushiroad has announced that post-apocalyptic visual novel VIRTUAL GIRL @ WORLD’S END will launch on June 12 JST for Nintendo Switch, Steam, and Windows. The release will have language support for Japanese, English, Simplified Chinese, and Traditional Chinese.

A trailer for the game was also released.

Pre-orders for VIRTUAL GIRL @ WORLD’S END will open on January 14 JST. Standard and limited physical editions will be available for Switch and Windows. The limited edition includes a special box with a bespoke illustration, a CD containing the original soundtrack, and a dakimakura cover with the character Ai.

The digital edition of the game (available for Switch and Steam) is priced at 2,970 yen (~US$18.85) with tax-included, while the physical standard and limited editions come in at 3,960 yen (~US$25.13) and 19,800 yen (~US$125.65), respectively (also tax-inclusive).

VIRTUAL GIRL @ WORLD’S END is set in 2055 Tokyo, a time of war, drained resources, and population decrease. Female streamers battle for rankings, becoming hollow in the process. The main protagonist is a young engineer called Mirai, who has an artificial eye that would allow him to view the streams of the virtual streamers called Vstars, if he felt inclined to fix it. Mirai has no interest in the streamers, but one day becomes involved with the self-proclaimed Vstar Ai.
