Bandai Spirits has unveiled an official Mobile Suit Gundam tabletop game called Gundam Assemble, which will feature “5 cm-sized” mobile suits from across the franchise.

“Each unit has abilities that reflect their unique characteristics, allowing players to enjoy scenarios that follow the original story, or diverge into situations that transcend the world of Mobile Suit Gundam series; thus providing both a sense of recreation and distinct battles,” says the description. “Detailed rules and product specifications will be announced later.”

You can get a glimpse of Gundam Assemble — which seems to be a hex-based skirmish game — and its roster of mobile suits via its teaser trailer. You can also head to the official website for another look at some of its miniatures (including a ship) in their painted state, plus a preview of the RX-78-2’s sprue.

The game is “coming soon.”

Update: Corrected the description of the RX-78-2 sprue to refer to it in the singular. The sprue preview was previously misjudged to contain only some of its parts.
