2025 will see the release of a new P.A.WORKS-produced original anime titled Food For The Soul (Hibi wa Sugiredo Meshi Umashi). Its announcement commercial and teaser teaser suggest that it will be a slice-of-life show where cute girls enjoy good food.
The tagline is “Cute + tasty = the ultimate meal.”
Food For The Soul is a co-direction effort from Shinya Kawatsura (Non Non Biyori) and Harumi Tohru (The Quintessential Quintuplets Movie assistant director. The staff also includes Hajime Mitsuda (AKIBA’S TRIP THE ANIMATION character designer) as character designer, Yoshihiro Hiki (Akiba Maid War) as series composer, and Hiromi Mizutani (Non Non Biyori) as music composer.
Non Non Biyori mangaka Atto is credited for the character design and story drafts, as well as for manga storyboard production.
