A new main trailer has been released for the upcoming Cute High Earth Defense Club Eternal Love! anime film, which showcases the return of the Earth Defense Club and Wombat travelling back in time. The film is scheduled to premiere in Japan on January 24, 2025.
The new trailer focuses on the film’s time travel story, in which Wombat ends up in the year 2025 in his mission to save Earth and love itself. He meets one of the Earth Defense Club members Yumoto Hakone, and also encounters its other members, whose faces are obscured with mosaics.
Shinji Takamatsu (returning) is directing the anime film, with Michiko Yokote (previously series composer and co-screenwriter) as screenwriter, Chizuru Miyawaki (previously design concept artist, Season 1 assistant director, et al.) as original character designer, and Chiko Miyagawa (Season 2 sub-character designer, costume designer, prop designer) as character designer. Studio Comet is handling the animation production.
Meanwhile, the anime’s film voice cast includes:

The first season of Cute High Earth Defense Club premiered in 2015, with Diomedéa handling the animation production. It was followed by two more seasons: LOVE! LOVE! in 2016 and HAPPY KISS! In 2018. Each season contained 12 episodes and the series has 26 episodes overall. Studio Comet was the animation production company for the latter two seasons.
An OVA titled Cute High Earth Defense Club LOVE! LOVE! LOVE! was released in 2017.
The series also inspired a light novel in January 2015, a manga adaptation that was released from 2014 to 2015, and a mobile video game in February 2015.

The story revolves around the members of the “Earth Defense Club” aka the “Do Nothing Club” at Binan High School. One day, the club members are soaking in a hot bath together when all of a sudden a mysterious pink wombat appears out of thin air! The wombat asks the members to lend it their help to protect the Earth. At school the next day, each of the club members receives a magical bracelet enveloping them in a dazzling light.
