The mixed-media franchise was first launched in April 2022 by Pony Canyon and The Oral Cigarettes lead vocalist Takuya Yamanaka. The project centers on the themes of “a cappella singing, high school girls, and complex.”
The franchise has inspired several music singles, voice drama adaptations, music videos, and documentary videos featuring singing lessons.

Harmony of Mille-Feuille follows six young high school students who are part of an acapella music program. It centers on a young student named Uta, who lacks the courage to submit an application for her school’s light music club, but is convinced to join an a cappella singing club at school, led by Airi.
