A second new PV trailer has been released for the UniteUp! -Uni:Birth- TV anime series, which previews the main opening theme song and several members of the three male idol units. The second season is scheduled to broadcast in Japan on January 11, 2025.
The second season’s opening theme highlighted in the trailer is “Uni:Birth,” performed by the anime’s main voice cast, which stars:

Shinichiro Ushijima (I Want To Eat Your Pancreas) returns to direct the second season, with Team Kizunya as series screenwriter (taking over from Rino Yamazaki), Majiro (Macross Delta co-character designer) as character designer, and Yuki Hayashi (My Hero Academia) and Naoyuki Chikatani (Beast Tamer) as music composers. CloverWorks is in charge of the animation production.
Other staff include Michiru Itabisashi (My Hero Academia Season 7 Episode 9 director) as assistant director, Hidekazu Yamana (Amazing Stranger) as sub-character designer, and Levin Aoi (returning) as character design assistant.
The first season of the male idol UniteUp! anime aired from January 2023 to April 2023 for 12 episodes.
The anime is part of Sony Music Entertainment Japan’s UniteUp! male idol multimedia project, which is described as a “next dimensional idol project” that was initially launched in December 2021. An anime series was first announced at Aniplex Online Fest 2022.

Crunchyroll is currently streaming the UniteUp! anime worldwide, and will stream the second season as it airs in Japan. It describes the main synopsis of season two as:
The journey continues after an exhilarating performance that solidifies PROTOSTAR’s bond. Now, Akira, Banri, and Chihiro are determined to build on their momentum as they face new challenges in the competitive entertainment industry.
