The latest character trailer has been released for the upcoming Magic Maker: How to Make Magic in Another World TV anime series, highlighting doctoral apprentice Cole. The anime will premiere in Japan on January 8, 2025.
Kazuomi Koga (Rent-A-Girlfriend Season 1 and 2, The Banished Former Hero Lives as He Pleases) is directing the anime, with Keiichiro Ochi (The Many Sides of Voice Actor Radio) as series screenwriter, Takayuchi Noguchi (The Angel Next Door) as character designer, and Kei Yoshikawa (Love of Kill) and Kana Hashiguchi (Classroom of the Elite Season 2 and 3 co-composer) as music composers. Studio Deen is in charge of the animation production.

Magic Maker: How to Make Magic in Another World is based on the fantasy light novels, written by Kazuki Kaburagi and illustrated by Kururi. It was first published under Kadokawa’s MF Books label on May 25, 2020 and has released two volumes as of December 2020. A third volume will be released on December 25, 2024.
The series began as a web novel on the Shosetsuka ni Naro website that was first published on June 9, 2017. It was later released on Kakuyomu in 2018.
A manga adaptation by Tomozo Nishioka ran in Mag Garden’s Manga Doa magazine from June 19, 2021 to February 4, 2023. Three total tankobon volumes were released.

Crunchyroll will stream the anime series worldwide, outside Japan, and describes the main synopsis as:
On the night of his 30th birthday, one man’s dreams of wielding magic come true after he unexpectedly passes away. He wakes as Sion, a young child in another world. He and his elder sister, Marie, are the children of a lower-class noble family who govern their region. After receiving conflicting messages from their father, Sion and Marie set out on an adventure to uncover the magic.
