A new PV trailer has been revealed for the upcoming From Bureaucrat to Villainess: Dad’s Been Reincarnated! TV anime series, which also confirms the addition of two new cast members and the series’ opening theme. The anime is scheduled to premiere in Japan on January 9, 2025.
The new trailer also previews the anime’s main opening theme song “Choose!!!” by Japanese rock band Cidergirl.
Meanwhile, the two new cast members joining the series include Tomoyo Kurosawa as Hinako Tondabayashi and Takako Honda as Mitsuko Tondabayashi.
They join a main voice cast that stars:

Tetsuya Takeuchi (Yuri Seijin Naoko-san, Lycoris Recoil Episode 4 storyboard artist and director) is directing the anime series, with Haruka Matsunae (Ascendance of a Bookworm Season 3 co-character designer) as character designer and Shingo Irie (Afterlost) as series screenwriter. Ajia-do Animation Works is in charge of the animation production.
HIDIVE has licensed the From Bureaucrat to Villainess: Dad’s Been Reincarnated! anime for streaming on its Winter 2025 simulcast schedule.
The anime is based on the isekai comedy manga by Michiro Ueyama, which began serialization in Shonengahosha’s Monthly Youngking Ours GH on March 16, 2020 and has released seven tankobon volumes as of August 2024.
The series follows Kenzaburo Tondabayashi, a 52-year-old civil servant, reincarnating as the otome game villainess Grace Auvergne in another world.
