The Medaka Kuroiwa Is Impervious to My Charms anime adaptation has received a main trailer, which reveals the show’s theme songs and January 6 JST (effectively January 7 at 12 AM JST) premiere.

The opening song is “Ame Tokimeki Koi Moyou,” which is sung by hololive’s Iroha ni Hohetto AyaFubuMi unit (comprising Nakiri Ayame, Shirakami Fubuki, and Ookami Mio). The ending song is “Kyunapi” by Kaori Maeda.

Medaka Kuroiwa Is Impervious to My Charms is based on the romantic comedy manga by Ran Kuze, which began serialization in Weekly Shonen Magazine in 2021 and will release its 17th tankoubon volume on December 17, 2024 JST. It was originally a 2020 one-shot.

Kodansha USA describes the manga’s first volume as:

Mona is the cutest girl in school, and she knows it. In fact, she’s worked hard to make her high school debut successful. But no matter what she does, she can’t seem to catch the eye of stone-cold stoic Medaka Kuroiwa — but she’s not about to give up that easy. Medaka, on the other hand, has been raised at a temple and was told to never become close to women. Who will win in this heated battle of wills?
