A main trailer and key visual have been released for the Senpai is an Otokonoko: Ame Nochi Hare anime movie.
The former reveals the theme song “Otona ni Narenai” by Kujira.
Senpai is an Otokonoko: Ame Nochi Hare was announced in September with a February 14, 2025 JST Japanese premiere date. The Senpai is an Otokonoko TV anime that precedes it aired during the Summer 2024 anime season and is available on Crunchyroll.
The anime is based on the LINE Digital Frontier-published manga by Pomu, which placed first in the 5th Manga We Want to See Animated Ranking and was the 2nd runner-up in the web category of Tsugi ni Kuru Manga Taishou 2021. Webtoons describes the manga as:
Can true love really overcome any obstacles? Saki, a high school student, confesses her feelings to Makoto. Taken aback, Makoto reveals his secret, but the sudden discovery doesn’t seem to bother Saki who is already head over heels for him. After being rejected, Saki asks Ryuji, Makoto’s childhood friend, for some advice on how to win his heart. A love triangle unfolds when Ryuji realizes that he might also have some feelings for his old friend.
The Senpai is an Otokonoko manga was serialized on Line Manga from 2019 to 2021 and released its 10th and final tankoubon volumes in October 2024. The physical volumes are published by Ichijinsha.
