Earlier this year, it was announced that Hello Kitty and the Rubik’s Cube, which are both celebrating their 50th anniversary, were collaborating to deliver a Rubik’s Cube decorated with Hello Kitty illustrations from 1974 to 2024. While the product was originally supposed to go on sale in mid-October, a new announcement reveals that it will become available starting in early December 2024.
The Hello Kitty 50th Rubik’s Cube from Japanese toy maker Megahouse will be sold for 5,500 yen (~US$36.66), tax-included. In addition to all the Hello Kitty art, which are arranged in chronological order by default, the design also includes a version of the Rubik’s Cube logo that’s adorned with Hello Kitty’s ribbon.
