The I’m Getting Married to a Girl I Hate in My Class anime will begin airing on January 3 JST. A second trailer and key visual have also been released.
The new promotional materials include the pink-haired character Maho, but her voice actor remains under wraps.
I’m Getting Married to a Girl I Hate in My Class is based on the MF Bunko J light novels written by Seiju Amano and illustrated by Nanami Narumi. Seven Seas Entertainment has licensed Mosukonbu‘s manga adaptation with the title I Got Married to the Girl I Hate Most in Class, and describes the premise as:
Archenemies Hojou Saito and Sakuramori Akane are notorious across their high school for their bitter rivalry. Every day is a new battleground, filled with constant bickering and fiery clashes. But everything changes when Saito’s domineering grandfather delivers a shocking ultimatum: marry his rival, or lose the family business to the dog! Reluctantly, Saito agrees, and to his surprise—so does Akane. Now, the two must navigate life as an unlikely couple, sharing a house, meals, and even a bed…without tearing each other apart! Can they keep their embarrassing marriage a secret from their classmates? And what could have possibly motivated Akane to agree to this arrangement in the first place?
The light novels started in December 2020 and have nine volumes as of August 2024. Narumi and Mosukonbu both have original character designer credits for the anime.
