The anime will debut in Japan on TV Asahi’s new programming block IM Animation.

The two new cast members joining the series include Katsuyuki Konishi as Umetaro Sakamoto and Akira Sekine as Kaoru Yamaba.

They join the anime’s main voice cast that stars:

  • • Daisuke Namikawa as Ranmaru Mori

  • • Mayuko Kazama as Aoi Shinozuka
  • • Taku Yashiro as Ken Shinozuka/Franken

Itsuro Kaasaki (FLAGLIA, Magical Girl Ore) is directing the anime and writing the scripts, with Takahiro Tamano (episode director for We Never Learn: BOKUBEN, BNA: Brand New Animal) as assistant director, Yukiko Ban (A Girl & Her Guard Dog, Shining Tears X Wind) as character designer and chief animation director, and Julydex’s Jun Ichikawa (Engaged to the Unidentified) as music composer. The anime is based on Hiromasa Okujima‘s supernatural comedy manga series, which has been running in Akita Shoten’s Bessatsu Shonen Champion since October 12, 2021. Eight tankobon volumes have been released as of October 2024. The manga will also be adapted into a 2025 live-action film.
