The Übel Blatt anime will premiere on January 11, 2025 JST, and it will be streamed worldwide on Prime Video.

A new trailer was also released. Additionally, it was announced that Toshiki Masuda, Hitomi Ueda, and Yui Kanari will be part of the cast as Wied, Altea, and Aht, respectively.

Übel Blatt is based on the Square Enix-published dark fantasy by Etorouji Shiono, which ran from 2004 to 2019 and is collected into 24 tankoubon volumes, with the first being numbered as volume “0”.

Manga Up describes the plot as:

After twenty long years in the dark, the time has come for a confrontation with Glenn, one of the Seven Heroes!

Hatred…envy…confusion…Koinzell’s heart overflows with emotion as he moves singularly toward his revenge, blade in hand! But it only takes an instant for the situation to take an unexpected turn…

The manga was first serialized in Gangan YG but ended as a Monthly Big Gangan title. A sequel titled Ubel Blatt II: The Knights of the Deceased King is running in Monthly Big Gangan.
