A third new character PV trailer and visual have been unveiled for the upcoming mono TV anime adaptation, which focuses on Sakurako Shikishima. The series is scheduled to premiere in Japan in 2025.
The trailer confirms the casting of Hikaru Tono as Sakurako, joining a main voice cast that stars Haruna Mikawa as Satsuki Amamiya and Aoi Koga as An Kiriyama.
Ryota Aikei (Jujutsu Kaisen Season 2 assistant director) is directing the anime, with Takuya Miyahara (Frederica opening movie, Shikimori’s Not Just A Cutie co-main animator) as character designer and Yoko Yonaiyama (A Sign of Affection) as series screenwriter. Soigne is in charge of the animation production.
The original 4-koma manga series is written and illustrated by Laid-Back Camp creator Afro, which was first serialized in Houbunsha’s Manga Time Kirara Miracle! magazine on May 16, 2017, before moving to Manga Time Kirara Carat on December 28, 2017. Four tankobon volumes have been released as of April 2024.
Yen Press licensed the mono manga series for release in English, describing the main synopsis as:
The Photography Club is in danger of shutting down?! And the Cinema Club too?! Fret not, for they shall merge and become…Cinephoto Club! Now, club members Satsuki, An, and Sakurako are asked to be the main characters for manga artist Haruno’s latest work that’s centered around action cameras. The girls head out to capture the lovely sights of Japan, exploring gadgets around them, and of course, chomp on the local delicacies along the way!
