A TV anime adaptation of Tatsuro Suga‘s The Catcher in the Ballpark! (Ballpark de Tsukamaete!) manga will begin airing in 2025.
A teaser trailer and visual have been released.
Junichi Kitamura (Fluffy Paradise) is directing The Catcher in the Ballpark! at EMT Squared with Shigeru Murakoshi (I Parry Everything) as series composer and Fumio Ida (Yadamon, Basquash! co-character designer) as character designer.
Fairouz Ai and Satoshi Inomata are playing the characters Ruriko and Murata, respectively.
The manga debuted in September 2020 in Kodansha’s Morning and has 14 volumes as of July 2024. It’s primarily set at a ballpark and follows a number of characters.
