A new teaser visual, trailer, main voice cast, and production staff have been revealed for the upcoming TV anime adaptation of The Brilliant Healer’s New Life in the Shadows. The anime will begin broadcasting in Japan in April 2025.
Joe Yoshizaki (FLOW GLOW debut PV unit director, Goddess of Victory: Nikke “Miracle Snow” special video director) is directing the anime, with Taika Miyagi as screenwriter, denpuougi and Yoshihiro Sawada as character designers, Hiroshi Gouroku (My Roommate is a Cat) as art director, and Harumi Fuuki (Lonely Castle in the Mirror) as music composer. Makaria is handling the animation production for the series.
Other staff include Moe Kawada as color designer, Kohei Tanada (Farewell, My Dear Cramer) as director of photography, and Hiroto Morishita (The Faraway Paladin) as sound director.
Meanwhile, the main voice cast includes Shogo Sakata as Zenos, Miharu Hanai as Lily, and Yoko Hikasa as Carmilla.
The series began as a web novel on Shosetsuka ni Naro on November 30, 2020, written by Sakaku Hishikawa. It was then published as a light novel by SB Creative on October 14, 2021, with new illustrations by Daburyu. Six volumes have been released as of March 2024, with a seventh volume set for release on November 15, 2024.
The manga adaptation by Junoichi was first serialized in GA Comic on January 22, 2022. Three tankobon volumes have been released as of March 2024, with a fourth volume due out on November 15, 2024.
J-Novel Club releases the The Brilliant Healer’s New Life in the Shadows light novels and manga adaptation digitally in English. It describes the synopsis of the light novels as:
