An image board from director Takayuki Hirao‘s upcoming Wasted Chef (working title) film has been released.

The bright artwork, shared by Comic Natalie, depicts a street-corner-placed diner with the name of “The Day.”

The image board was first revealed on November 1 JST at the 11th New Chitose Airport International Animation Festival, during a 35mm and talk for Hirao’s previous film Pompo the Cinephile. There was also a surprise screening for pilot footage of Wasted Chef.

Like Pompo the Cinephile, Wasted Chef is being produced by CLAP. Pompo The Cinephile composer Kenta Matsukuma returns for scoring duties, while the character designs are coming from Shingo Adachi (Lycoris Recoil director, Sword Art Online Season 1 and 2 character designer). The film is Hirao’s (The Garden of SinnersParadox Spiral, God Eater, Gyo) first original title.
