Crunchyroll also announced at its New York Comic Con industry panel that it has licensed the anime series and will stream it on its service in the following countries and territories: North America, Central America, South America, Europe, Africa, Oceania, the Middle East, and CIS.

Aoi Umeki (Pop Team Epic) is serving as the director for the anime, as well as co-scriptwriter and character designer. Other staff include Naoki Yoshibe (The IDOLM@STER Cinderella Girls: Spin-off!) as assistant director, Studio Monado’s Yasuko Aoki (Tying the Knot With an Amagami Sister) as screenwriter and co-scriptwriter, Tetsuya Tatamitani (Africa Salaryman) as concept director, and Ayana Tsujita (The Demon Prince of Momochi House) as music composer. The original manga series by Syundei was first serialized in Akaneshinsha’s Opera BL magazine and released a single tankobon volume in May 2017. The manga was followed by the sequel series Go For It Again, Nakamura!, which has released two tankobon volumes between 2017 to 2021.

Seven Seas Entertainment releases the Go For It, Nakamura! manga and its sequel in English. It describes the main synopsis of the first series as:

Nakamura is a shy boy who falls in love at first sight with one of his classmates–his dreamy high school classmate, Hirose. But there’s a problem: they haven’t met yet. And Nakamura is a total klutz who might bungle things before they even begin!
