Less than three seconds into the new trailer for Batman Ninja vs. Yakuza League, an army of white-suited yakuza rains from the sky in a phenomenon that the city of Gotham labels as a “Yakuza-storm.”

Set after the events of 2018’s Batman Ninja, Batman Ninja vs. Yakuza League sees the Caped Crusader returning from medieval Japan to a present-day Gotham that isn’t as it should be. As shown in the trailer, the island of Japan is hanging over the skies of Gotham, and there’s a female Green Lantern voiced by Ayane Sakura. Amidst this situation and Ra’s al Ghul’s scheming, Batman finds himself learning about “Ninkyo spirit” from yakuza Wonder Woman and equipping a mecha suit to battle an unseen enemy.

Aside from the new footage, it was revealed that the anime movie will be released digitally sometime in 2025, and that the Yakuza League’s voice cast are Akio Otsuka as Aquaman, Nobuyuki Hirama as the Flash, Romi Park as Wonder Woman, and the aforementioned Sakura.
