HIDIVE has announced that it has licensed the ninja romantic comedy series I’m Living with an Otaku NEET Kunoichi!? as part of its Winter 2025 simulcast season. The anime will stream exclusively on Sentai Filmworks’ anime streaming service and is scheduled to air in Japan in January 2025.
Hisashi Saito (Kuroitsu-san from the Monster Development Department) is directing the anime, with Takashi Aoshima (The 100 Girlfriends Who Really, Really, Really, Really, Really Love You) as series screenwriter, Masahiko Suzuki (Trapped in a Dating Sim: The World of Otome Games is Tough for Mobs) as character designer, and CMJK as music composer. Quad is in charge of the animation production.

Meanwhile, the anime’s main voice cast includes:
- • Hinaki Yano as Shizuri Ideura
- • Shoya Ishige as Tsukasa Atsumi
- • Fairouz Ai as Ayame Momochi
- • Saya Aizawa as Hina Izumi
- • Hina Kino as Kanae Natsumi
- • Shigeru Chiba as Narrator
The anime is based on the romantic comedy web manga series NEET Kunoichi to Nazeka Dousei Hajimemashita, which is written and illustrated by Kotatsu, with Yakitomato credited with the storyboarding. It was first launched on Twitter as a self-published webcomic on Twitter on January 25, 2020.
The series was later re-published in Niconico Seiga’s No 9. Comic on February 22, 2024. Ten digital volumes were released by Kadokawa under its Dengeki Comics EX label as of March 2023. Three print volumes have also been released by ASCII Media Works as of March 2023.

In order to protect an ordinary businessman, Tsukasa Atsumi, from demons, a genius kunoichi, Shizuri Ideura, signs a master-servant contract with him on the condition that she stays with him. Despite her cool appearance of defeating demons, Shizuri is an otaku NEET who spends all her time playing video games. While Shizuri is spoiled by Tsukasa and leads a lazy cohabitation life, the quirky Kunoichi gather together… A romantic comedy about living together with a genius Kunoichi who is an otaku and a NEET!
