hololive VTuber Sakura Miko has released a new anime music video, this time for the song “Cherry Message” (“Sakuranbo Message”), which was released on September 14 JST.
The bright and youthful video depicts Miko and her fellow Gen 0 members — Tokino Sora, AZKi, Roboco, and Hoshimachi Suisei as schoolmates, and it comes with dance animation, shots using the perspective of a smartphone screen, and even a scene that mimics a visual novel.
RIRI Yamashita, who has worked on other memorable short-form animations like the Kamitsubaki City Ensemble opening and Midnight Grand Orchestra‘s “Midnight Mission” music video, has direction and “animation movie” credits on “Cherry Message.”
Also in the credits are tori as assistant animator, Yuta Hashimoto as producer, Hayaru Hokotate as project manager and Saco Makita as choreographer.
Miko previously released a music video for the song “Ikenie.” “Cherry Message” and “Ikenie” are both included in her first album flower rhapsody, which dropped on September 25 JST.
The VTuber, who debuted in August 2018, is scheduled to perform her first live concert, flower fantasista!, on October 26 JST at Ariake Arena.
