Utagoe wa Mille-Feuille was first launched in April 2022 by Pony Canyon and The Oral Cigarettes lead vocalist Takuya Yamanaka. It features the themes of “a cappella singing, high school girls, and complex.”
The mixed-media project has spawned several music singles, voice drama adaptations, music videos, and documentary videos featuring singing lessons.

The main premise follows a young student named Uta, who joins an a cappella singing club led by Airi, after lacking the courage to submit an application for her school’s light music club.
