Specific chapters from Square Enix‘s Manga UP! service will become available to read for free on the online anime and manga database Anime Planet as part of a newly announced partnership.
In other words, Anime Planet will host preview chapters of “fan favorite manga series such as Fullmetal Alchemist, Black Butler, Toilet-Bound Hanako-kun, and more.” Other featured titles include My Dress-Up Darling, Horimiya, Play It Cool, Guys, and The Case Study of Vanitas.
Some of the manga only have their first chapter available for reading, while others have a few provided.
Nobuhiko Muranaka, the director of Square Enix’s Global Publishing Division, said, “We’re excited to give the Anime-Planet audience access to some of our most popular manga. We hope audiences enjoy the characters and stories our creators have developed and look forward to entertaining them with our works.”
In July, Anime Planet announced that it had partnered with Day Comics to bring preview webtoon chapters to the website. It also hosts chapters from Lezhin and J Novel Club titles.
