A main trailer for the Tying the Knot with an Amagami Sister anime adaptation has been released, previewing the story’s heroines and revealing an October 1 JST (effectively October 2 at 12 AM JST) premiere date.

It was also announced that Momoiro Clover Z is performing the opening song, “Yawaku Koishite ~Zutto Bokura de Iraremasu you ni~,” and that an early screening will take place on September 15 JST at Shinjuku Piccadilly.

Tying the Knot with an Amagami Sister is based on the Kodansha-published manga by Marcey Naito, which was originally a one-shot that was released in Weekly Shonen Magazine in 2020. Serialization began in 2021, and 16 tankoubon volumes have been released as of August 2024.

Kodansha USA describes the manga as:

Uryu Kamihate has had a rough start to life, but plans to forget it all by achieving his dream-matriculating into medical school. But when he arrives at his new foster home, a working shrine, his dream of a quiet place to study goes up in smoke. Not only will he be living with the three beautiful, lively Amagami sisters-but he learns that he must marry one of them and take over the shrine!
