A new PV trailer has been revealed for The Do-Over Damsel Conquers the Dragon Emperor TV anime series, which also highlights two additional cast members. The anime will begin broadcasting in Japan on October 9, 2024.
The trailer reveals the addition of Shunichi Toki as Gerald and Yuka Nukui as Sphere.

They join a voice cast that includes:
- • Shu Uchida as Jill Cervel
- • Kikunosuke Toya as Hadis Teos Rave
- • Shiori Izawa as Lavey
- • Mari Hino as Camilla
- • Tatsumaru Tachibana as Zeke
Kentaro Suzuki (Requiem of the Rose King, Kud Wafter) is directing the anime series, with Atsuo Ishino (Baki Hanma Season 2 co-scriptwriter) as screenwriter and Sana Komatsu (The Rising of the Shield Hero Season 3 co-character designer) as character designer. J.C.STAFF is in charge of the animation production.
The anime is based on the fantasy romance light novel series written by Sarasa Nagase and illustrated by Mitsuya Fuji. It was first published by the Kadokawa Beans Bunko imprint on March 1, 2020 and has released six main volumes as of April 2023, which includes a short story collection released in February 2024. Cross Infinite World releases the light novels in English.

The story was first written as a web novel that debuted on Shosetsuka ni Naro in 2019. The light novels also inspired a manga adaptation by Anko Yuzu in 2020, which Yen Press releases in English for North America.
Crunchyroll licensed The Do-Over Damsel Conquers the Dragon Emperor for streaming outside of Japan. It describes the synopsis as:
Jill breaks out of prison the night before she’s set to be executed by her fiancé, Crown Prince Gerald. She’s struck by an arrow while escaping, but instead of dying, she’s transported six years into the past — to the night she and Gerald met. Desperate to alter fate, she instead proposes to the first man she sees, Hadis Teos Rave, her enemy in the future. This is her last chance to get it right!
