The newest character PV trailer has been released for the upcoming I’ll Become a Villainess That Will Go Down in History TV anime series, which spotlights the cool-headed noble Duke Seeker. The anime will begin airing in Japan on October 1, 2024.
Yuuji Yanase (My Unique Skill Makes Me OP even at Level 1) is directing the anime, with Sawako Hirabayashi (Delicious Party Precure) as series screenwriter, Yuko Watanabe (Doctor Elise: The Royal Lady with the Lamp character designer) and Eri Kojima (My Unique Skill Makes Me OP even at Level 1 co-main character designer) as main character designers, and Moe Hyuga (The Angel Next Door) as music composer. MAHO FILM is in charge of the animation production.
Meanwhile, the anime’s main voice cast stars:

Crunchyroll will stream the anime worldwide, outside of Japan.
The anime is based on the isekai light novel series written by Izumi Okido and illustrated by Jyun Hayase. The light novel series (also known as Rekishi ni Nokoru Akujo ni Naru zo in Japanese) was first published under Kadokawa’s Enterbrain imprint on August 15, 2019. Six volumes have been released as of March 2024. The series began as a web novel on Shosetsuka ni Naro on December 11, 2018.
The light novels also inspired a manga adaptation by Akira Hoshi in May 2020. Yen Press releases the manga in English for North America, describing the main synopsis as:
Me, the same girl who hates all those prim and proper heroines, got reincarnated as the villain in the world of my favorite fantasy dating sim! It’s my dream come true, so I’m going to leave my mark on history by becoming the world’s greatest villain! But to do that, I’ll need to get a lot stronger, and smarter. Just one problem — the harder I try to be evil, the harder the prince falls for me! At this rate, will I ever get to earn my place in history!?
