A new second key visual has been released for the upcoming SK8 the Infinity OVA special. More details about the OVA have not yet been announced. The first season premiered in Japan in January 2021.
The visual highlights the handsome Ainosuke Shindo (known by his skateboarder alias “Adam”) and his personal secretary, Tadashi Kikuchi.
The new OVA was first announced in August 2022, along with a second season. The first key visual for the OVA was initially released in January 2024. Bones is the animation production company.
The second season of SK8 the Infinity will see the return of director Hiroko Utsumi (Bucchigiri?!, Banana Fish, Free!), series screenwriter Ichiro Okochi, and character designer Michinori Chiba.
The anime’s main voice cast includes:

Aniplex of America licensed the anime for streaming outside of Asia on Funimation, Wakanim, and AnimeLab. It is currently streaming on Crunchyroll after the company’s acquisition of those streaming companies. Meanwhile, Muse Communications licensed the series for streaming in Southeast Asia via bilibili.
The anime also inspired a main manga adaptation and comedic manga spinoff title in 2021, as well as two stage play adaptations. The first part ran in 2021 and the second part was scheduled to take place in 2022, but was canceled due to a cast member testing positive for COVID-19.
Aniplex of America describes the synopsis of SK8 the Infinity as:
Reki, a high school sophomore and skater, is addicted to “S,” a highly secret and dangerous downhill skateboarding race that takes place in an abandoned mine. The skaters are especially wild about the “beefs,” or heated battles that erupt in the races.
Reki takes Langa, a transfer student returning to Japan after studying abroad, to the mine where the races are held. Langa, who has no skateboarding experience, finds himself pulled into the world of “S”…
