The upcoming Make A Girl anime movie has received a trailer, a second visual, and a January 31, 2025 JST Japanese release date.
Additionally, the cast list has been updated to include Kana Hanazawa, Joji Ueda, and Minami Hinata as Eri Uminaka, Shoichi Takamine, and the younger version of male protagonist Akira Mizutamari, respectively.
Make A Girl is created by Gensho Yasuda and based on his 2020 Blender-using short Make Love. The premise involves Akira creating an android to be his girlfriend.
Make A Girl had a crowdfunding campaign that ran from August 2022 to October 2022 and raised 23,730,805 yen (~US$159,012.77), surpassing its 10 million yen target. Another crowdfunding campaign was hosted from September to October 2023 for increased quality and completion purposes, and ended up raising 23,176,413 yen.
