Kadokawa has announced that the Little Shark’s Day Out sequel will be an anime film. A new teaser visual and trailer featuring the titular Kozame-chan have been released to confirm the new film.
ENGI served as the animation production company for the short web anime series, with Marina Maki as director, Hiroaki Nagashima as screenwriter and scriptwriter, and Arisa Yoshii as character designer.

Kana Hanazawa voices Kozame-chan and performed the anime’s main ending theme “Yorimichi.”
All 60 episodes of the web anime series are available on YouTube with English subtitles.
The short anime is based on a digital manga series by Penguin Box, which was first posted on Twitter in June 2021. It was later published in Enterbrain’s Aokishi magazine on October 20, 2021 under the Kitora imprint. Four total tankobon volumes have been released as of October 2023.

Little Shark’s Day Out (also known as Odekake Kozame in Japan) follows the everyday adventures of a little shark named Kozame-chan, who experiences several heartwarming experiences in the town of Yauo.
