A new anime music video from hololive VTuber Houshou Marine has been released. The video is for the song “Dead Ma’am’s Chest” (titled “Yurei Sensen” in Japanese) and depicts Marine trying to plunder a ship, only to run into a powerful foe with supernatural powers.
The director, storyboard artist, and unit director of the “Yurei Sensen” music video is Tease, the director of Marine’s memorable “I’m Your Treasure Box” music video. The storyboards and unit direction for the action parts are credited to Kai.
Also part of the staff lineup are Takase Maru (Yorushika’s “Haru” music video” character designer) as character and costume designer, Yusuke Soen (“Shinkiro” music video character designer and chief animation director) as animation director, Naoto Kondo (Go! Go! Loser Ranger!) as color designer, Hideaki Tomohiro as art director, and Kenta Hayashi (Brave Bang Bravern, “Shinkiro”) as compositing director. Studio KAI is the animation production studio.
Like the “Bishoujyo Muzai♡Pirates.” “I’m Your Treasure Box,” and “Ahoy!! We are Houshou Pirates” music videos, the “Yurei Sensen” video was released on Marine’s birthday on July 30 JST. It premiered on YouTube following the conclusion of the third-gen hololive member’s 3D live birthday concert, which included a performance of the song.
The “Yurei Sensen” song is written and arranged by Camellia and composed by Toby Fox.
