Five new character trailers have been released for the upcoming live-action drama series adaptation of OSHI NO KO.
Each character trailer highlights members of the series’ main cast, which include:

Ruby
Kana
Akane
Mem-Cho
The live-action OSHI NO KO TV drama was first announced in January 2024. It will stream exclusively in Japan on Amazon Prime video on November 28, 2024 for eight total episodes. A film that takes place after the drama series will screen in Japanese theaters on December 20, 2024.
The live-action cast includes:
- • Kaito Sakurai as Aqua
- • Asuka Saito as Ai
- • Nagisa Saito as Ruby
- • Nanoka Hara as Kana Arima
- • Mizuki Kayashima as Akane Kurokawa
- • Ano as MEMcho
Smith (Kenshirou ni Yoroshiku live-action drama) and Hana Matsumoto (Horimiya live-action movie director) are serving as episode directors for the drama. Smith will also direct the upcoming follow-up film. Ayako Kitagawa (Betsu ni, Tomodachi to ka Janai) is the screenwriter and Ryusuke Imoto (The Legend & Butterfly producer) is the planner and producer for the series.
The original manga series is written by Aka Akasaka and illustrated by Mengo Yokoyari, and was first serialized in Shueisha’s Weekly Young Jump on April 23, 2020. A total of 15 tankobon volumes have been released as of July 2024. A TV anime series from Doga Kobo premiered on April 12, 2023 and has an ongoing second season that first aired on July 3, 2024.

Yen Press releases the OSHI NO KO manga in English, describing the synopsis as:
Gorou is a gynecologist and idol fan who’s in shock after his favorite star, Ai, announces an impromptu hiatus. Little does Gorou realize that he’s about to forge a bond with her that defies all common sense! Lies are an idol’s greatest weapon in this outrageous manga from Aka Akasaka (Kaguya-sama: Love is War) and Mengo Yokoyari (Scum’s Wish).
