Voice actress Sumire Uesaka performed a cover of the iconic anime theme song “Hare Hare Yukai” as the latest ending theme of Alya Sometimes Hides Her Feelings in Russian.
The ending sequence used in the anime’s fourth episode features Alya, Yuki, and Masha dressed up in urban outfits, while Uesaka’s cover performance of the “Hare Hare Yukai” song plays in the background. The song was famously used as the ending theme for the 2006 anime adaptation of The Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya.
A live-action dance performance set to the popular anime ending theme was also released, which features the five main voice cast members dancing with an AR-generated Alya avatar character.
In addition, a collaborative illustration of Alya and Haruhi was also released.

Ryota Ito (Shikimori’s Not Just A Cutie, My Senpai is Annoying director) is directing the anime and writing the screenplay. Other staff include Yuhei Murota (Love Live! Sunshine!!) as character designer and chief animation director, Risa Wakabayashi (Kaguya-sama: Love Is War) as art director, Yuka Ito (Shikimori’s Not Just A Cutie) as color designer, Seiichi Sugiura (Saint Cecilia & Pastor Lawrence) as compositing director, and Hiroaki Tsutsumi (Burn The Witch#0.8) as music composer. Doga Kobo is in charge of the animation production for the series.

The light novel series is written by Sunsunsun and illustrated by Momoko. It was first published by Kadokawa Shoten’s Kadokawa Sneaker Bunko imprint on February 27, 2021. Eight total volumes have been released as of February 2024, along with a short story collection. Yen Press releases the light novels in English for North America.
A manga adaptation from Kodansha by Saho Tenamachi was launched on October 29, 2022. The series began as a series of short stories on Shosetsuka ni Naro in May 2020.

Crunchyroll is streaming Alya Sometimes Hides Her Feelings in Russian worldwide, outside of Japan. It describes the series as:
Alya is a transfer student enjoying popularity at her new high school, often sporting a cold shoulder while earning high marks in class. She ignores her nerdy classmate, Kuze Masachika, except for when she blurts out a flirtatious line to him in Russian. Little does she know, Kuze understands Russian, though he pretends not to. Let’s see where this wacky love story takes them!
