A new special summer visual has been revealed for the Skip and Loafer TV anime series, which is drawn by the character designer Manami Umeshita.
The summer visual features some of the core female characters such as Mitsumi, Mika, Yuzuki, and Makoto sitting by the school pool under the clear, sunny sky. The anime’s official website has also been updated with the new summer theme.
The anime previously released a spring-themed visual earlier this past April.
The Skip and Loafer TV anime adaptation aired from April 4, 2023 to June 20, 2023, with P.A Works handling the animation production for the series.
Kotomi Deai (Natsume’s Book of Friends director) directed the anime and wrote the screenplay, with Yuriko Abe (The Aquatope on White Sand episode director and storyboarder) as assistant director. Other staff include E-Caesar as art director, Yuuko Kobari (Inu-Oh) as color designer, Kazuto Izumida (The Heike Story) as compositing director, and Takatsugu Wakabayashi (Lucifer and the Biscuit Hammer) as music composer.
Meanwhile, the main voice cast includes

The anime is based on the slice of life romance manga by Misaki Takamatsu, which began serialization in Kodansha’s Monthly Afternoon on August 25, 2018. Ten tankobon volumes have been released as of March 2024. Seven Seas Entertainment releases the manga in English for North America.

Iwakura Mitsumi graduated from a small middle school in the countryside and entered a top-tier high school in Tokyo at the head of the class. This child prodigy, who moved to Tokyo alone with a perfect life plan, is smart and gets good grades… but her social understanding isn’t quite on the same wavelength as others. This means that she sometimes makes mistakes, but her easygoing nature sways her classmates little by little, and all their different personalities are coming together before they know it.
They meet and gradually come to know each other, and before long they understand each other well. Everyone experiences pent-up feelings and frustrations, but it is our friends who give us a chance at mutual understanding. This story may start out with some discord, but it becomes a happy school-life comedy before you know it!
