The 25th anniversary celebrations come courtesy of Shogakukan-Shueisha Productions, which announced a separate 40th anniversary project for the Zoids franchise in 2023 that focused specifically on the toyline.
The Zoids mixed-media franchise was first launched by Takara Tomy in 1983. It has inspired five main TV anime series: 1999’s Chaotic Century, 2001’s New Century, 2003’s Fuzors, 2005’s Genesis, and 2018’s Wild. The franchise also spawned numerous video games, manga, plastic model kits, PVC figures, and more.
