Yamato yo Towa ni – REBEL 3199 Chapter 2 Reveals Teaser Trailer and Visual, November 22 Release

A teaser trailer and teaser visual have been revealed for the upcoming Yamato yo Towa ni – REBEL 3199 Dainishou: Sekijitsu no Shutsugeki anime. A November 22 JST Japanese theatrical release date was also revealed.

Sekijitsu no Shutsugeki is the second “chapter” of Yamato yo Towa ni – REBEL 3199, a 26-episode series that is part of the Space Battleship Yamato remake series and is being delivered to Japanese theaters in seven parts. Chapter 1, Kuro no Shinryaku, was released on July 19 JST. 

The original Space Battleship Yamato TV series aired from 1974 to 1975 and inspired sequel series and movies. One of these was 1980’s Yamato yo Towa ni movie. The remakes began in 2012 with Star Blazers: Space Battleship Yamato 2199.

Crunchyroll describes the remake as:

The power-hungry Gamilas have taken over Earth, and only a distant planet has the key to save humans from extinction. Granted the schematics of a high-powered engine, the Space Battleship Yamato is built to traverse the galaxy and retrieve hope for their survival. Battling extraterrestrial forces along the way, the crew of the Yamato will stop at nothing to save their home.
