Iconic Events Releasing has announced a 30th anniversary theatrical release of the 1993 anime film Ninja Scroll in the United States as part of its 2024-2025 AX Cinema Nights series. It will take place on September 11, 12, and 15 in more than 500 theaters, with both Japanese with English subtitles and English dub options.

Ninja Scroll was produced by Madhouse with Yoshiaki Kawajiri (Wicked City; Vampire Hunter D; X; Frieren: Beyond Journey’s End Episode 4, 13, and 17 storyboard artist) as the director. Kawajiri was also its screenwriter, original character designer, and creator.

Iconic Events Releasing describes the period action film as:

When Jubei saves a young ninja woman from the unthinkable, he assumes that’s the end of it. To his surprise, it’s only just the beginning. Together, the two investigate the mysterious deaths of an entire village which uncovers a conspiracy of demonic proportions! Getting closer to the truth, the demonic forces will stop at nothing to silence Jubei and his companion for good!
