A new key visual and trailer have been revealed for the upcoming Fureru. anime film, which will premiere in Japanese theaters on October 4, 2024.

The 90-second trailer previews the film’s main theme song “Monotone” by music duo YOASOBI, as well as the main voice cast that includes:
- • Ren Nagase as Aki Onoda
- • Ryota Bando as Ryo Sobue
- • Kentaro Maeda as Yuta Inohara
- • Haruka Shiraishi as Juri Kamozawa
- • Manaka Iwami as Nana Asakawa
- • Sarutoki Minagawa as Wakita
- • Kenjiro Tsuda as Kohei Shimada
Fureru. features the involvement of the Super Peace Busters, which includes director Tatsuyuki Nagai (A Certain Scientific Railgun T), scriptwriter Mari Okada (Maboroshi and Maquia: When the Promised Flower Blooms director and writer), and character designer Masayoshi Tanaka (Suzume, Darling in the Franxx). The three previously collaborated on Anohana, The Anthem of the Heart, and Her Blue Sky. CloverWorks is in charge of the animation production for the film.

The film follows childhood friends Aki, Ryo, and Yuuta, who develop telepathic powers after touching Fureru, a porcupine-like creature that is part of the local folklore of their island hometown.
