To celebrate the July 4 launch of Zenless Zone Zero, HoYoverse will be hosting a pop-up event called “Hollow Sighting in New York.”

The two-day event will take place on July 12 (12 PM to 6 PM) and 13 (10 AM to 6 PM) near the World Trade Center. The precise location will be confirmed later.

The event will cast visitors as a new Hollow Investigative Association (H.I.A.) Investigator who ventures into a Hollow (the name of the free-to-play action RPG’s “interdimensional” anomalies). The Hollow will be represented as a “large iridescent dome” with Ether Crystals surrounding it.

Visitors will have to gather Ether Energy by scanning codes and completing a mini-game, and this energy can be traded for a physical Ether Crystal that can be brought home. However, taking too much time will put them at risk “of being corrupted and becoming an Ethereal Monster.”

In-game currency codes will be handed out to all attendees. Those who participate in character cosplay, or who complete other tasks like posting on social media with the #ZZZinNY tag and downloading Zenless Zone Zero, will also get merchandise like AR Pins and Bangboo phone stands.

Zenless Zone Zero will launch on PC, Android, iOS, and PS5. In addition to its anime-inspired aesthetic, the game will feature a post-apocalyptic setting, multiple factions, flashy real-time third-person combat, and plenty of electronic music.

A music video was recently released.
