The upcoming Madoka Magica: Magia Exedra game has received a Shaft-produced animated promotional video that previews some of its magical girls and ends with its green-and-white Kyuubey saying, “Welcome to The Lighthouse.’

Additionally, the Magia Exedra website has been updated with new info. The refresh adds a gallery of screenshots of the game, reveals that the game will be on Steam as well, and lists some of the voice credits (Aoi Yuki, Chiwa Saito, Momo Asakura, Sora Amamiya, and more). The screenshots include a look at the game’s RPG party system and the main menu, which includes buttons with the labels “Room of Light” and “Union.”

The Steam page offers additional screenshots and some descriptions of the game’s features, including confirmation of a five-member party limit and the inclusion of different element types. Also mentioned are a break system that rewards the proper usage of an element and the inclusion of scenarios from the original Puella Magi Madoka Magica anime and the Magia Record: Puella Magi Madoka Magica Side Story game. Online co-op and PvP are listed as well.

There’s also a story description that reads:

A place where the memories of Magical Girls illuminate the dark…

The Lighthouse.

Now a girl who’s lost everything wanders into its sanctum.

Who am I…?

How did I get here…?

She will relive key moments of countless of Magical Girls by opening windows into their memories…

Trusting she’ll one day find her own lost light of remembrance.

The release date of Magia Exedra is still listed as 2024. The Android and Steam versions are currently accepting pre-registrations.

Magia Exedra is co-developed by SINoALICE’PokeLabo and Magia Record‘s f4samurai, with PokeLabo also handling the management of the game. Aniplex is the publisher.

The previous Madoka Magica smartphone game was 2017’s Magia Record. The DMM browser version ended services on July 1 at 3 PM JST, while the iOS and Android versions will follow suit on July 31 at 3 PM JST.

Magia Record had a TV anime adaptation that premiered in 2020 and ended with three seasons (the last two had eight and four episodes, respectively).
