A new key visual and main theme songs have been revealed for the second cour of Mission: Yozakura Family. The ongoing TV anime series began broadcasting in Japan on April 7, 2024 and will air for 27 total episodes in two consecutive cours.
The new opening theme is “Secret Operation” by fripSide featuring Yoshino Nanjo and the new ending theme is “Kekkon Koushinkyoku” by ASOBI Doumei.

Mirai Minato (Masamune-kun’s Revenge, The Dungeon of Black Company, Sasaki and Peeps) is directing the anime series and writing the screenplay, with Mizuki Takahashi (Kizuna no Allele co-chief animation director) as character designer and chief animation director, and Sus4’s Koji Fujimoto (Ragna Crimson) and Osamu Sasaki (Ragna Crimson) as music composers. SILVER LINK is serving as the animation production for the anime.
Meanwhile, the main voice cast includes:

- • Akari Kito as Futaba Yozakura

- • Yoshitsugu Matsuoka as Kengo Yozakura and Goliath
- • Yumi Uchiyama as Nao Yozakura
The anime is based on the action comedy manga by Hitsuji Gondaira, which was first serialized in Shueisha’s Weekly Shonen Jump on August 26, 2019. Twenty-four tankobon volumes have been released as of June 2024, with a 25th volume due out on August 2, 2024.
The anime series has been listed in Hulu’s April lineup as a Hulu Original title in the United States. Disney+ is streaming the series in other select territories outside Japan.
VIZ Media releases the Mission: Yozakura Family manga series in English, describing the main synopsis as:
Taiyo Asano is a super-shy high school student and the only person he can talk to is his childhood friend Mutsumi Yozakura. However, Mutsumi comes from a line of master spies with amazing powers. Her oldest brother, Kyoichiro, is obsessed with Mutsumi and out to kill anyone who gets remotely near her — and his next target is Taiyo! The only way for Taiyo to save himself from Kyoichiro’s murderous clutches is to marry Mutsumi!
