Shinichiro Watanabe’s original psychological thriller TV anime Terror in Resonance is celebrating its upcoming 10th anniversary since it first aired on July 10, 2014. The series ran for a total of 11 episodes on Fuji TV’s Noitamina programming block and ended on September 25, 2014. 

A new main key visual featuring the lead characters, Nine (Arata Kokonoe) and Twelve (Toji Hisami), was released to commemorate the 10th anniversary. A new website was also launched with the new visual and comments from voice actors Kaito Ishikawa and Soma Saito, as well as the series’ director, Watanabe.

In addition, a special promotional campaign will be held at the Noitamina Shop and Cafe Theater from July 6, 2024 to July 28, 2024. The campaign includes the sale of merchandise featuring newly-drawn illustrations, a collaboration menu, and limited novelty gifts. Select episodes from the series that were voted by by fan surveys will be screened again every Saturday and Sunday at the store’s theater.

Hiroshi Seko, Jun Kumagai, Kenta Ihara, and Shoten Yano wrote the screenplays for the series, with Kazuto Nakazawa as character designer and chief animation director and Yoko Kanno as music composer. MAPPA was the animation production company. 

Meanwhile, the anime’s main voice cast starred: 

  • Atsumi Tanezaki as Lisa Mishima
  • • Kaito Ishikawa as Arata “Nine” Kokonoe
  • • Soma Saito as Toji “Twelve” Hisami
  • Megumi Han as Five
  • Shunsuke Sakuya as Kenjiro Shibazaki

Funimation licensed Terror in Resonance for streaming in North America in 2014. It was later transferred to Crunchyroll after the two companies merged, describing the series as: 

In an alternate version of the present, Tokyo has been decimated by a shocking terrorist attack, and the only hint to the identity of the culprit is a bizarre video uploaded to the internet. The police, baffled by this cryptic clue, are powerless to stop the paranoia spreading across the population.
