A new character PV trailer has been unveiled for Act 1 of the upcoming Code Geass: Rozé of the Recapture anime film series, focusing on the main character Rozé. The anime will be streamed exclusively on Disney+ worldwide as a 12-episode series, starting in late June 2024.
The 58-second trailer showcases the skills and confident personality of Rozé and the role he plays in the series.
Code Geass: Rozé of the Recapture consists of four main acts that will be screened in Japanese theaters, beginning with Act 1 on May 10, 2024, Act 2 on June 7, 2024, Act 3 on July 5, 2024, and the Final Act on August 2, 2024.
Yoshimitsu Oohashi (Kokkoku, Witchblade) is directing the anime films, with Noboru Kimura (Persona5 the Animation, Kokkoku) as series screenwriter, CLAMP (Code Geass) as original character designer, the late Takahiro Kimura (Code Geass: Akito the Exiled, Code Geass: Lelouch of the Rebellion compilation movie trilogy) and Hidekazu Shimamura (Sing a Bit of Harmony) as character designers, Junichi Akutsu (Code Geass co-Knightmare designer) as Knightmare frame designer, Satoshi Shigeta (Mashin Eiyuuden Wataru: Shichi Kon no Ryuujinmaru co-main animator) as mechanical designer, and Kenji Kawai (Ghost in the Shell) as music composer. Sunrise is credited as the animation production company.

The anime project was originally titled Code Geass: Z of the Recapture, but Comic Natalie reported that the title was changed due to the state of world affairs.
Code Geass: Lelouch of the Rebellion, the original entry in the Code Geass franchise, ran from 2006 to 2008 for two seasons. It has inspired several OVAs, a compilation film series, and the Code Geass: Akito the Exiled spin-off series. The franchise also includes many light novels, manga, and video games.

Rozé of the Recapture is set in the seventh year of the Kouwa era. The main story follows brothers Rozé, a behind-the-scenes character, and Ash, a Knightmare pilot. They join forces with a Japanese resistance force to battle Neo Britannica and free Sakuya Sumeragi, the captive daughter of Hokkaido’s murdered leader.
