A new PV Trailer featuring Nagi and Reo has been released for the Blue Lock The Movie -Episode Nagi- anime film. It premiered in Japan on April 19, 2024 and will be screened in North American theaters starting June 28, 2024 in both English subbed and dubbed versions. Other international dates will be announced later on.
The latest film trailer highlights the friendship between Nagi and Reo, as well as the hardships they face and their egoist abilities.
Shunsuke Ishikawa (Blue Lock co-director) is the film’s director, with Taku Kishimoto (Blue Lock series screenwriter) as story composition and scriptwriter, original manga author Muneyuki Kaneshiro as story supervisor, Yuu Shindo (Fruits Basket 2019) and Sorato Shimizu (Gegege no Kitaro 2018) as character designers, and Jun Murayama (Blue Lock) as music composer. Eight Bit is in charge of the animation production for the film.

Blue Lock -Episode Nagi- is a spin-off of the soccer manga series Blue Lock with Seishiro Nagi as the point-of-view character. It is written by Kaneshiro and illustrated by Kota Sannomiya. The manga debuted in Kodansha’s Bessatsu Shonen Magazine on June 9, 2022 and has released four tankobon volumes as of April 2024. Kodansha will release the spinoff manga in English sometime later in the year.
The main Blue Lock manga started serialization in Kodansha’s Weekly Shonen Magazine on August 1, 2018 and has released 28 volumes as of March 2024, with a 29th volume due out in May 2024. Yuusuke Nomura illustrated the art in the main manga series.

The Blue Lock TV anime series began in October 2022 and ran until March 2023 for 24 episodes. Crunchyroll is currently streaming the anime outside of Japan in select countries and territories. A second season is in production.
Kodansha USA releases the Blue Lock manga series in English, describing the main synopsis as:
