2023’s The Quintessential Quintuplets: Goto Pazu Story was a Switch and PS4 title that stripped out the Goto Pazu mobile game’s Match-3 puzzles so players could enjoy its story and visual novel sections without obstructions. It has been recently announced that a sequel, titled The Quintessential Quintuplets: Goto Pazu Story 2nd, will be released this year.

The new Goto Pazu Story game will let players re-experience the story of The Quintessential Quintuplets anime’s second season. It will also feature the 23 events, along with their respective cards and full voice-acting, from the second year of the mobile game’s operation.

Each event follows a theme, providing an excuse to see the Nakano quintuplets in a variety of outfits. Some of these are previewed in the announcement trailer below.

More details about the MAGES title will revealed on May 27.

Goto Pazu Story 2nd is just one of several The Quintessential Quintuplets-related announcements that were made recently in light of the anime’s fifth anniversary. There’s also going to be a new anime about Futaro Uesugi’s honeymoon with the Nakano sisters, a trading card game, and more.

Negi Haruba’s Kodansha-published The Quintessential Quintuplets manga debuted in Weekly Shonen Magazine in 2017 and ended in 2020 with 14 tankoubon volumes. Kodansha USA describes the premise as:

Five girls who want to do anything but study, and their tutor: a high school boy who’s got book smarts and not much else. Futaro Uesugi took the tutoring gig because he was desperate for cash, but when his students—the five beautiful daughters of a wealthy businessman—find five times the excuses to slack off, what can he do?! At this rate, the sisters won’t graduate, so if he wants to get paid, Futaro must think of a plan to suit each of them … Which feels hopeless when five out of five of them think he’s a loser!
