Happinet has revealed that TAKALAKA and voice actor Takuya Eguchi’s Egumi Legacy card game is receiving an anime project that will premiere at an undetermined date.

An announcement trailer and key visual featuring the main characters were released for the adaptation.

Egumi Legacy features original characters designed and created by Eguchi, who will also be in the voice cast for the anime project, presumably playing a starring role.

Masa Mori (Obey Me! screenwriter) is directing the anime and is credited as co-scriptwriter with Katsuya Kitano. Studio Outrigger is planning the project and serves as the animation production company, with 81 Produce providing production cooperation.

TAKALAKA and Eguchi released the Egumi Legacy card game in Summer 2022 as the 10th project of the EGUMI brand. The brand has also inspired various clothing and other merchandise.

The anime’s story takes place on a isolated floating island in the ocean called Egu Island, where a songstress named End of the World provides the only entertainment. The inhabitants spend their days entranced by her singing, but have their lives disrupted when the songstress disappears. As a result, a great war breaks out on the island and conflict ensues over the fate of End of the World.
