The Boston Red Sox have had a relatively quiet, yet unimpressive offseason, but it seems an iconic Straw Hat Pirate is joining their roster to spice up their upcoming MLB season. Toei Animation and the team have announced a “One Piece Night” at Fenway Park on August 28, 2024 in their game against the Toronto Blue Jays.
The evening event celebrates the 25th anniversary of the One Piece TV anime series. Ticket holders who purchase their tickets through MLB’s special offer will receive a bobblehead of Monkey D. Luffy wearing a Red Sox uniform. More information can be found here.
Additionally, baseball fans who arrive early can experience a pregame party with music, a cosplay event, and many more features before the game.
This is the second most recent sports collaboration for the One Piece franchise, who partnered with the San Diego Rams last November in a stadium takeover during halftime.
