A main trailer and key visual have been released for the upcoming two-part Bocchi the Rock! compilation movie.

The start dates for the two parts were also revealed. Part 1, Bocchi the Rock! Re:, will premiere in Japan on June 7. The second part, Bocchi the Rock! Re:Re:, begins on August 9.

The Bocchi the Rock! TV series began airing in October 2022 and ended with 12 episodes. The show, based on the Houbunsha-published 4-koma manga by Aki Hamazi, follows the anxiety-ridden Hitori “Bocchi” Gotoh, who becomes a skilled guitar player but remains socially awkward. Hitori’s life starts to change when she is invited to join a band led by the cheerful Nijika Ichiji.

Bocchi the Rock! Re: will have an opening sequence with new footage, set to the Kessoku Band-performed song “Tsukinami ni Kagayake.”

The manga began serialization in Manga Time Kirara MAX in 2018 and has six tankoubon volumes as of August 2023. A spin-off about alcoholic supporting character Kikuri Hiroi began serialization in July 2023. Yen Press publishes the main series in English.
