A new teaser trailer has been released for the upcoming second season of Tower of God, which also revealed the opening and ending theme song artist, staff, and additional voice cast members. The second season is scheduled to premiere in Japan in July 2024 and will adapt “The Prince of Zahard” and “The Workshop Battle” story arcs.
Japanese girl group NiziU will be performing the unnamed opening and ending theme songs for Tower of God season two, who delivered a message in the beginning of the teaser trailer.

The second season’s production staff features several changes and additions. Kazuyoshi Takeuchi (Gekijouban City Hunter: Angel Dust) is serving as the chief director and Akira Suzuki as director. Erika Yoshida (Bocchi the Rock!) is the screenwriter and co-scriptwriter, along with Takeshi Miyamoto (The 8th Son? Are You Kidding Me?) and Riuji Yoshizaki. Miho Tanino (Blue Thermal, Tower of God season one), Seigo Kitazawa (Gekijouban City Hunter: Angel Dust), and Isamitsu Kashima are the co-character designers, with Kitazawa also as chief animation director, Yusuke Ikeda (D4DJ All Mix) as art director, and Kevin Penkin (The Apothecary Diaries) as music composer. The Answer Studio is in charge of the animation production for season two, taking over Telecom Animation Film who worked on season one.
Yoshida, Tanino, and Penkin returned from the first season of Tower of God to work on the second season.

The anime is based on the Tower of God webtoon by SIU, which was released on June 30, 2010 on the WEBTOON platform and is currently on “Season 3.” It became available in the U.S. via WEBTOON in July 2014. In addition to the digital version, Wattpad publishes the series as a graphic novel under its WEBTOON Unscrolled imprint, with Volume 4 set to be released in June 2024.
