Kyoto Animation has released an official trailer for Sound! Euphonium Season 3, providing a longer preview of the upcoming sequel before it premieres on April 7.
Sound! Euphonium Season 3 will follow Kumiko, now the leader of the Kitauji High School band, in her third year of high school. The trailer teases new audition-related drama and a rivalry between Kumiko and the transfer student Mayu Kuroe.
The first season began airing in 2015. The last entry, the Sound! Euphonium: Ensemble Contest OVA, premiered in Japanese theaters in August 2023. In addition to the TV seasons and Ensemble Contest, there are compilation movies of the first two seasons, the spin-off movie Liz and the Blue Bird, and the 2019 Sound! Euphonium: Chikai no Finale film. The show is inspired by the Takarajimasha-published novel series by Ayano Takeda.

The Sound! Euphonium novel series began in 2013 and has seven main volumes as of 2019. 2021 saw the first release of the spin-off Tobitatsu Kimi no Se wo Miageru, which has Natsuki Nakagawa as the viewpoint character.
